No. of boys = 4 units
No. of girls = 3 units

Multipy both units by 2, we have

No. of boys = 8 units
No. of girls = 6 units

No. of boys wearing specs. = 8 units x 1/4 = 2 units

No. of girls wearing specs. = 6 units x 1/6 = 1 unit

Total number of boys and girls = 8 units + 6 units = 14 units

No. of children wearing specs. = 1 + 2 units = 3 units

Fraction of children wearing specs = 3/14
