By the way, I think you've omitted a - sign for the iωt in your fourth line on the left.

Also,

It would be better to redefine f(t)e^(-iω₀t) as another function h(t). Not quite right to say let f(t) = f(t)e^(-iω₀t)


Alternatively, use the phrase

'Replace f(t) with f(t)e^(-iω₀t) , '
