15 a) Difference in height
= 90 - 60 cm
= 30 cm


b) P : Q : D =
4 : 7 : 3 =
8 : 14 : 6 =

R : S : D =
11: 17 : 6 =
In both cases, the difference of both poles remain unchanged.

Comparing both diagrams, shaded lengths increase by 3u.

3u = 30 cm
1u = 10 cm

Height of pole B =
17u + 60 = 17(10) + 60 = 230 cm
