am i supposed to use any algebra/heuristics to solve this? how to do so? final answer?

This one is tough, I give you a clue
1 / (1 x 2) = 1/1 - 1/2
1 / (2 x 3) = 1/2 - 1/3
1 / (3 x 4) = 1/3 - 1/4
1 / (4 x 5) = 1/4 - 1/5
And so on.
1 / (1 x 2) = 1/1 - 1/2
1 / (2 x 3) = 1/2 - 1/3
1 / (3 x 4) = 1/3 - 1/4
1 / (4 x 5) = 1/4 - 1/5
And so on.
Did a similar question before.
but my question gave this information:
1/(1×2) = (1/1)-(1/2)
1/(2×3) = (1/2)-(1/3)
...... (and so on)
So then the answer would be
= 1/(1×2) + 1/(2×3) +...+ 1/(100×101)
= (1/1)-(1/2)+(1/2)-(1/3)+...+(1/100)-(1/101)
= (1/1)-(1/101)
= (101/101)-(1/101)
= (100/101)
