Badly set question. Both B and D could be used, although option D is a better setup, as the concentration of silver ions in the electrolyte remains constant. For option D, Ag+ ion concentration decreases over time as Ag+ ions are discharged at the cathode. Factually... as per the question, both 'could be used'.
