Some testimonials from my past students:
“Mr. Shankar has coached me for a year and I would like to thank him for the tremendous amount of effort he has put in teaching me. Under his guidance for English, I improved from a C6 in Sec 4 to an A2 in the 2013 GCE O levels in just 6 months. His consistent drilling and emphasis on writing skills helped build the basic foundation to secure a B grade before he painstakingly identified and corrected individual mistakes to push for an A grade. Mr. Shankar is now tutoring me for GP and his lessons are never boring. Mr. Shankar often stimulates my thinking, which is critical for GP. He is experienced and patient with me and I always look forward to his session.”

“Mr. Shankar is an excellent GP tutor who helped to spark my interest in GP which is quite unpopular amongst Science students. He continually and consistently emphasized the skills needed to excel in both papers. He even went the extra mile when I had challenges in my Economics and stayed back to coach me even when the time was up and he was not paid. After engaging him as a tutor, my grades for GP improved from a D in JC1 to being in the top 5% in my cohort for the Common Test 2 and preliminary examinations. Mr. Shankar is truly a dedicated GP coach.” - Yukee Kaji Victoria Junior College
It was really a memorable and enriching experience learning English from Mr. Shankar. He taught me during my Sec 4 year, and took me in despite having fewer than 4 months to prepare me for my „O‟ levels. With his devoted teaching and guidance, I managed to score a distinction for my „O‟ level English. His lessons were interesting, and I looked forward to them every week, despite the already huge stress from school work. Without his help, I would not have gotten my distinction in English. Thank you Mr. Shankar and I look forward to you coaching me in GP once JC begins!

“I never had a good Economics tutor or even a teacher during my time in JC. I actually fired 3 tutors prior to engaging Mr. Shankar. Although it was only a month before „A‟ levels, he very quickly made me understand about myself first before understanding the subject. He has very unique and unorthodox coaching approach made every session both interesting and enriching. I was very inspired with his methods. He showered a great deal of individual attention and patience with me unlike my JC teachers and the other 3 tutors. He never shied away from my request and his response to me queries were immediate – a truly dedicated professional. In my 201I GCE „A‟ Levels; I got an A when I was getting a C all this while. Mr. Shankar is now my mentor. He does not believe in giving advice or judging individuals – he shares and makes me realize things about myself I never knew. He is now coaching my younger sister in English, POA and Social Studies for her „O‟ levels, Thanks Mr. Shankar”!

“It was truly an enjoyable and inspirational experience learning GP from Mr. Shankar. I learnt various skills to do well in examinations and also developed much passion for the subject from his teaching. Discussions with Mr. Shankar about current affairs were often intriguing and they sharpened my critical thinking skills. By teaching via methods that were well – suited to my learning needs, Mr. Shankar made my process of learning much easier, enjoyable and definitely, memorable.”

“I was taught by Mr. Shankar since July of my JC1 year. He was an excellent coach who provided timely and constructive feedback on our learning as there were 4 others in this group. Besides teaching essential skills required in the exams (such as understanding question requirements and writing structured, effective essays), he also conducted clear discussions on key issues and current affairs. This was my favorite aspect of his teaching, as it allowed me to reflect on issues, to mature as a thinker, and to hone my writing skills. I had a thorough understanding of the subject requirements and how to work towards excelling for it. If you‟re looking for a coach, tutor & friend to guide you through, he‟s the best person”.

“When I first started tuition with Mr. Shankar, I was achieving average results for GP. After engaging Mr. Shankar‟s services, I not only saw improvements in my grades, but I began to better understand the techniques required to help me achieve my A grade in the A levels in my recent GCE 2013. During my sessions I was not taught to memorize and vomit out readings and examples; I was taught how to think, and understand what the questions were really asking. He is the REAL DEAL”

“Mr. Shankar is a great GP teacher who inspired me to think out of the box and gain interest in the subject. Instead of the usual spoon-feeding style, the lessons were interesting and interactive. Mr. Shankar would guide me to link topics which, to me, was unrelated, and expanded my knowledge on general topics. This allowed me to cultivate an interest in GP and study it for the sake of learning more about it, rather than just to get a good grade. Without Mr. Shankar‟s help, I would not have been as interested in GP and attained my „A‟. Thank you, Mr. Shankar!”

“It was really an eye-opener learning English from Mr. Shankar. He taught me during my Sec 4 year, and took me in despite having fewer than 7 months to prepare me for my „O‟ levels. With his devoted teaching and guidance, I managed to score a distinction for my „O‟ level English. Despite the already huge stress from school work, I looked forward to hos lessons every week as his lessons were both exciting and interesting. His constant coaching and guidance; helped me obtain a distinction in English. Thank you Mr. Shankar for being a friend and my mentor!

“When I was first introduced to Mr. Shankar; he didn‟t come across much of a coach or teacher however when he started asking me questions that none of my teachers or previous tutors asked – I began to pay closer attention. He is a man of few words however when he talks; I will make time to listen. This has been my learning point in life. His guidance for both my GP & Economics, I managed to score distinctions for both my subjects during my „A‟ levels from the Cs I used to receive in JC1. Thank you Mr. Shankar for being a great mentor and most importantly a friend!

“POA was never my favourite subject in school. My POA teacher in school was just imparting theories and concept which I found it challenging to understand. Ever since Mr. Shankar coached me in POA, he shared and made a story of this subject which made me more interested in the subject. His lessons were never boring as many real life examples were taught during the session which I could relate. I obtained an A grade during my recent 2013 „O‟ levels and now I working towards my ambition as a CPA. Thank you Mr. Shankar for being patient, caring and being a great mentor to me! I am very sure many more students will benefit from your guidance and teachings. Thanks for being a friend too!
