Mr Samuel Neo

Samuel has developed a very effective problem solving technique called PDE (Process/Principle , Diagram and Equation) that enables students to solve math and science (physics and chemistry) examination questions correctly with confidence and quickly. Ability to understand the questions and providing the appropriate correct answers is a common problem faced by many students. PDE addresses this issue effectively. In addition, he has also developed SPPM (Subject Practice and Performance Monitoring) a study system that ensures his students cover all the topics in the syllabus comprehensively and all necessary knowledge and knowhow in the subject are acquired by the students. This approach prepares his students for the respective examinations as well as for further continuation at higher levels in the subjects or related disciplines. With PDE and SPPM, Samuel aims to develop well rounded students who have interest and passion in the subjects both as academic pursuit as well as foundation for their future careers.

Samuel holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science (1st Class Honours medal and book prizes winner) in Physics from the National University of Singapore.
At the tertiary level , he taught Physics at the National University of Singapore, Engineering Mathematics and Computing at Singapore and Ngee Ann polytechnics. At A and O levels, he has taught Mathematics and Science in secondary schools and private tuition in A and O level Physics, Chemistry, Additional Mathematics and lower secondary Science. He is currently a principal tutor in Physics, Chemistry and Science for secondary school and junior college levels.

Samuel is the developer and owner of the WITS (Whole-brain integrated Thinking Skills) programme for which more than 200 students have attended.

He was a PSC teaching merit scholarship holder and obtained a few priziones and medal for academic excellence in Physics at university level and mathematics and Economics at A level.
Samuel takes personal interest in ensuring that his students understand concepts taught and are able to apply them to solve problems. He seeks to instill interest and passion in the subjects beyond the school curriculum in his students and give them challenging problems and career guidance where applicable
